Fiverr

Wait, but you said sites like Fiverr but better?! Why is Fiverr on this list? Hear us out… The thing is, you can make a lot of money on Fiverr if you know what you’re doing. When the site first started out you could only charge $5 for a service and everything was a little bit limited. As the site has grown, however, they’ve realised that good talent requires more money. And so, people can charge more than $5 for their service nowadays. So many buyers use this site, making it definitely worth having a profile there. Even just to advertise yourself in your niche.

We quite like the flat fee at Fiverr, which is $1 for anything up to $20. Great if you’re selling something at $20 – not so great if you’re selling something for $5. Just make sure you factor in your fees before creating your gig. Anything over $20 has a transaction fee of 5%, which isn’t too bad considering some of the others.

Overall, you can make Fiverr work for you, even if it’s just building up a portfolio and a name for yourself. Just remember to charge what you’re worth – and not a penny less.

As with all of these sites to sell services, you’re going to want to test the waters first. Make sure you build up a strong profile and fill your portfolio before you start applying for jobs (or gigs). Get in some smaller paid projects to build your feedback rating up first – just never price yourself out of profit. If you have any questions, as we’ve tested them all many-a-time, simply drop us a comment and we’ll get back to you!
